Tournoi Maurice Revello

The Tournoi Maurice Revello is an invitational tournament for national youth teams, hosted in and around Toulon in the south of France every year since 1967. For most of its history it was known simply as the Toulon Tournament, only adopting its current name in honour of its long-serving organiser. Originally contested by club sides, it shifted to national teams during the 1970s and has since built a reputation as one of the most reliable early proving grounds for future stars, with dozens of past participants going on to become full internationals and, in a handful of cases, Ballon d'Or winners. The tournament runs as a group stage followed by knockout matches, and for many federations, a strong showing in Toulon is treated as a genuine marker of a talented generation's potential.
