World Cup - U20

The FIFA U-20 World Cup is football's leading tournament for national teams at under-20 level, contested since 1977. Held every two years, it brings together 24 teams for a group stage followed by knockout rounds, mirroring the senior World Cup on a smaller scale. Argentina is the record champion with six titles, ahead of Brazil's five. The competition has long been a launchpad for future superstars: Diego Maradona inspired Argentina's first triumph in 1979, while a teenage Lionel Messi carried the team to glory in 2005, claiming both the tournament's top scorer and best player awards. Few stages have offered such an early glimpse of greatness before it fully arrived. Follow live scores, fixtures, results, standings and statistics for the competition, updated in real time.
