AFC U20 Asian Cup - Qualification

This qualifying competition determines which national teams advance to the finals of the AFC U20 Asian Cup, one of Asian football's longest-running youth championships. Entrants are split into groups for centralized round-robin mini-tournaments, with group winners and the strongest runners-up moving on to the finals. Given the age group's link to the FIFA U-20 World Cup, a solid qualifying campaign can be the first step toward a place on football's global stage rather than just a continental one. The sheer size and diversity of the Asian Football Confederation, spanning nations from the Middle East to East and Central Asia, means these qualifiers double as a rare opportunity for many federations to test their under-20 sides against genuinely varied styles of play.
