Super Copa

The Super Copa, widely known as the Supercopa Argentina, is a one-off super-cup match introduced in 2012 by the Argentine Football Association, taking inspiration from Europe's domestic super cups. It traditionally brings together the champion of the Argentine top flight and the winner of the Copa Argentina for a single game at a neutral venue, decided on the day rather than over two legs. As Argentine football's competition structure has been reorganized several times in recent years, the exact identity of the contesting pair has shifted accordingly, but the match continues to serve as a prestigious early-season showcase between two of the country's title-winning clubs outside the regular league programme.
