Super Cup

Belgium's Super Cup was established in 1979 and has been played almost every year since, missing only two editions. It is a single match, hosted by the Belgian Pro League champion, against the Belgian Cup winner, with the beaten cup finalist stepping in if one club completed the double. Club Brugge lead the all-time list by a wide margin, with Anderlecht a distant second — between them the two clubs account for the large majority of all titles awarded, a steeper concentration of success than in most European Super Cups.
