The FA Women's Super League is England's top flight of women's football, founded in 2011 as the successor to the old Premier League National Division. It became fully professional for the 2018-19 season, when clubs were required to offer minimum-hour contracts and run academy systems, transforming the competition's standards almost overnight. The league runs as a single table over a full home-and-away season, with the winner crowned English champions and the bottom clubs relegated to the Championship. Chelsea have been the era's dominant force, building a run of titles through the 2010s and into the 2020s, while Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United have also challenged at the top. Backed by rising broadcast deals, the WSL has become a benchmark for attendance and commercial growth in women's club football worldwide. Follow live scores, fixtures, results, standings and statistics for the competition, updated in real time.
