Cup

The Puchar Polski, nicknamed the "Cup of the Thousand Teams" for its mass participation, is Poland's national football cup. Its modern, continuous history dates to 1950, with an earlier, non-continuous 1926 edition sometimes cited as a forerunner. Clubs from the top six tiers of Polish football are obliged to enter, funnelling through regional qualifying into a main knockout draw where, aside from the final, every tie is hosted by the lower-ranked side — a structural tilt toward upsets. The final has been played at Warsaw's National Stadium every year since 2014. Legia Warszawa lead by a wide margin over the rest of the field in total cup wins.
