Super Cup

Israel's Super Cup, nicknamed the Champion of Champions, has a genuinely three-part history: an informal one-off match in 1957, an officially sanctioned competition from 1968-69 that ran with gaps until being cancelled after 1990, and a revival from 2015 that continues today. It is a single match between the reigning Israeli league champion and State Cup winner, with the league runner-up stepping in if one club completed the double. Maccabi Tel Aviv have won more Super Cup titles than any other Israeli club by a clear margin, having been the competition's standout side since the 1970s.
