Supreme Division Women

The Supreme Division is the top tier of women's club football in Russia, organized by the Russian Football Union as a national home-and-away league that decides the domestic championship. It sits atop a pyramid with a second division below it, connected through promotion and relegation each season. The competition has included sides with genuine European pedigree from past decades, when Russian clubs regularly took part in the UEFA Women's Champions League. Since 2022, Russian clubs have not competed in UEFA competitions, so the league's champions currently measure themselves only against domestic opposition. The division remains the main pathway for players developing toward Russia's women's national team, and it continues to run a full season of fixtures each year, serving as the foundation of the country's women's football structure.
