Super Cup

Turkey's Super Cup began life as the Cumhurbaşkanlığı Kupası (Presidential Cup) in 1966, was discontinued after 1998, and returned in 2006 in its modern Turkish Super Cup form. Played for nearly two decades as a single match between the Süper Lig champion and Turkish Cup winner, it was restructured for 2025 into a four-team knockout involving the league's top three finishers and the Cup runner-up. Galatasaray are the competition's most successful club across its combined history, well ahead of the rest of the field. Its 2006 revival final was deliberately staged in Germany specifically to reach Turkey's large diaspora community there, an unusual choice of host country for a domestic Super Cup.
