Cup

The Uzbekistan Cup is the country's principal knockout competition, played alongside the Super League and drawing clubs from across the national football pyramid. The tournament follows a straightforward single-elimination format, offering lower-division and regional clubs a rare chance to test themselves against the country's biggest names in a one-off match rather than across a long league campaign. Pakhtakor Tashkent again ranks among the tournament's most successful sides, adding to a domestic trophy collection that already leads Uzbek football by a wide margin. As with most national cups, victory brings European qualification, giving the winning club a route into continental competition that can occasionally reward a smaller side enjoying an unexpectedly strong cup run.
